About Me

Thomas Jennings is a versatile and eclectic guitarist, performing jazz, funk, and rock music in Denver, CO. He currently plays in Mama Magnolia, a soulful rock project, and leads his own project, Thomas Jennings Group. He also performs with String & Cord, a vocal jazz duo.

He has been playing music since he was 5 years old and playing guitar for over 17 years. Thomas developed an obsession for navigating the fretboard in his own way early on, which contributes to his strong melodic sense and lyrical improvising.

In 2014, he received his Bachelor’s degree in Jazz Guitar Performance from the Lamont School of Music. He has studied privately with Alan Joseph, Tim Lerch, Jonathan Kreisberg, Jonathan Leathwood, and Eric Gunnison. He has performed with various groups at the Ogden Theater, Mishawaka Theater, Bluebird Theater, Dazzle Jazz, and Nocturne.

In his spare time, Thomas likes to take pictures, brew coffee, and automate things on his Mac.
